Resuscitating the Conservative Party - David Hamilton

'We are not merely natural but we are natural in the sense that our lives are held together by emotional relationships and the numinous things in life like art and religion and a need for countryside as well as beautiful landscapes, rather than ideologies. We are natural in the sense that we form emotional relationships with our families and communities and our countryside. An historical fact that is little known is that Sir Winston Churchill tried to introduce a Bill to control immigration in 1955, but it was not ready until two months after he had stepped down because of his health. He also wanted the Conservatives to fight the general Election with the slogan “Keep England White.” There is a great and evil slander laid upon those who call for control and common sense in open-door immigration. They are demonised as “Nazis” and “Racists"-we fought Nazism and many lost family in that war. They are accused of following Hitler when we follow Churchill.

Despite the fact it promotes what is today called politically incorrect language-but used to be called free speech- Enoch Powell is a victim of posthumous character assassination from the political left due to an inordinate focus on this single incautious statement. To racially divide in such a way was perhaps unwise in 1968, but no more unwise than when Black MP Diane Abbott claims ‘White people love playing divide and rule’ in 'progressive' 2012.

By David Hamilton. There is confusion about what art is. The qualities that make something art are intrinsic, not external. It is the artifice, the organising of elements, perspective, choice of colour etc, that make it art. The result is obtained by transforming reality and thus nature through human imagination and emotion and is realised by skill and technique.
The word Beauty (or beautiful) is descriptive if used as an adjective to express the response of the beholder to an object, or if used within a clear context; if used as an abstract noun it is universal, and therefore meaningless.

In 2009 Ben Stephenson, the controller of BBC drama commissioning, said that the corporation should encourage "peculiarity, idiosyncrasy, stubborn-mindedness, left-of-centre thinking." Yet, according to its own royal charter, the BBC must "be independent in all matters concerning the content of its output". To show how we got to this undemocratic, totalitarian state I give a survey of the war on our culture and history carried on against us in our theatres for over thirty years.

It is very difficult in our current political climate, in fact a climate that has existed for the last 15 or 16 years, for a political group of any sort to move forwards recruit members and prosper... If we are to gain the acres of lost ground we need to act as a force to bring all those that agree with us together under one banner. At the moment the centre left is in the ascendancy because we have allowed the fall of Margaret Thatcher and the disastrous premierships of John Major, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown to permit the influx of left wing civil servants, local government officers, crackpot teaching, dumbed-down universities and uncontolled immigration to swamp our state services at no gain what-so-ever to the country.
